The Shepherd’s Route takes us to old shepherd’s routes and five mountain pastures (meadows) on the Dleskovska Plateau where the cattle still pasture. We will get to the Ravne mountain pasture by car and then, after one hour of walking, achieve the Dolga Trata mountain pasture where you will be able to take a look at the renovated shepherd’s cottage and the stall. During the hike you will be able to enjoy the beautiful view on the Rogatec, the Lepenata, the Velika Planina Mountain and the Raduha in the south and the Dleskovska Plateau in the north… We will continue in the direction of the Molicka Pec. Hidden in a beautiful basin between the Veliki Vrh and the Ojstrica, it will be a perfect place to take a rest and enjoy your shepherd’s meal and a sip of fresh water. Our next stop is the Vodotocnik mountain pasture, where we can find the highest spring in Slovenia. Passing the Deska we will continue our trip to the last station – the Podvezak mountain pasture where we will enjoy the home-made specialties. The trip itself is not exhausting, however it will take us 5-7 hours. If you would like to spend a day in the beautiful nature where the time has stopped, this trip is the right choice for you. All you need is comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear.
