The Rogatec Mountain is situated above the Podvolovljek Valley near Luce. Despite of being only 1550 high, winter ascents to the Rogatec Mountain can be a real problem due to its steep slopes covered with snow. You can reach the summit from two different directions. The easier route is of medium difficulty and will take you to the summit passing the Spehov Vrh Mountain. If you like more difficult and daring routes, you should try the route on the south ridge, starting on the Kal Mountain. The Rogatec Mountain is not situated in the central Kamnik-Savinja Alps therefore you will be able to enjoy the view on the surrounding mountains – the Lepenatka Mountain, the Velika Planina Mountain and the central Kamnik-Savinja Alps with the Ojstrica Mountain and the Planjava Mountain. In the north you will be able to see Raduha and the Savinja Valley below it. You can enjoy the view on Styria in the east and the Menina Planina Mountain in the south.
