Upper Savinja valley is full of limestone caves, from which the Snežna jama – ice cave is the most special one. There is plenty of undreground places still to discover and enjoy this specific adventure. We welcome you to discover this underworld of Snežna jama, with its magnificient ice formations and Erjavčeva jama – cave, through which old merchant routes used to leed.
The Snežna jama – ice cave
On the south slope of the Raduha Mountain you can find the beautiful subterranean world of the Snežna jama – ice cave (1.500m). Its impressive entrance, ice and classic stalactite formations will take your breathe away. Walking through a 1.5km long cave together with our experienced caver and a carbide lamp, you will experience the unusual subterranean world and discover all its secrets and beauty. After a two-hour-long visit, an unusual surprise will be waiting for you. You can reach the cave in two ways – you can take a 20km long mountain road from Luče (with an organized transport). Warm clothes and appropriate footwear are recommended, as the cave temperatures are between -1 and +4oC. We will take care of the rest of the equipment.

The Erjavceva Cave
GThe Erjavceva Cave is situated 200m above the Savinja Valley, approximately 4 km from Luce in the direction of Solcava. This secluded, yet very interesting and intact cave is appropriate for a group of 2-6 people. It consists of many cave halls with very narrow tunnels (in some of them you will need to crawl). Comfortable protective clothing and footwear are reccomended. The 1.5– 2 hours long cave excursion with the 15 minutes long ascent and descent is appropriate for all who are interested in caving and are not afraid of small and narrow spaces.
